I want to buy my wife a new washing machine bcs our washing machine is ancient.

So, I'm calling all you washing machine gurus out there!

Which washing machine brand is really built to last, you know, with durability at its core?

I don't want to be like my bro who got burned with a Hotpoint WMD. It got issues only within a year.

This time, I wanna shell out for something that'll go the distance without breaking down every other month.

What's the gold standard for a machine that can stand the test of time?

Good call getting rid of that old washer. Speed Queen is the best for durability. It's made like a tank and should last over 20 years without a problem. If you're looking for something fancy, Miele is a great option too. LG and Maytag are also dependable picks if you want something more modern. I'd definitely avoid Hotpoint. If you want something that won't give you any trouble for years, go with Speed Queen

Absolutely, Speed Queen is really durable and dependable. Have you had a chance to try any of the new models?

I'm eyeing LG, but the speed queen looks great too. I'm looking for video reviews now

Guys, why aren't you mentioning Miele? I have friends who have them, and they think the washer will outlive them. Sure, they're more expensive, but i think it's worth it for something you'll probably use for dedades.

I have a Speed Queen TC5!
I've been using it for a few months now and I think it's really the gold standard for longevity.
Just by the look, you can see how it's incredibly robust and well-made compared to a lot of the newer machines with all the fancy electronics.
Mine got straightforward controls and just gets the job done without a lot of unnecessary frills!
