Tryna figure out what the letters and numbers in my Hotpoint WMUD843P washing machine model stand for. Im guessing WM is washing machine, U is Ultima, 8 is 8kg, 4 is 1400rpm, and P is the color Polar White. Not sure what the D or the 3 stand for though.. Any ideas? I know, im curious on all things lol

Why do you want to decode the whole model number,I guess you are trying to find compatible parts or a manual for repairs?

The 'D' likely refers to a design or series variation, sometimes indicating a digital display or a specific feature set. The '3' here could be a version or revision number within that model line. Hotpoint isnt always super clear about every digit, but your guesses are definitely in the right ballpark

Well to me it looks like you've cracked most of it already. Surely the "D" ties to a display or door style, and the "3" might just mark a revision or minor update in the lineup. Version or something?

D usually stands for Digital display, and the 3 might refer to the machine's series or generation within that range. Hotpoint doesn't always make these super clear, so it's cool you're digging into it!
